Philanthropy and Giving Back to the Community:

The Trevor Project

Each year, Gold & Honey creates rainbow inspired hoops for Pride. A portion of all proceeds from those hoops are donated to the Trevor Project. 

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) young people under the age of 25.

 

Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America 

Gold & Honey supports the MGFA, which a cause near to our hearts. Rachel (G&H head designer) has been battling MG for over 15 years. 

A portion of profits from any of our Turquoise jewelry throughout the year is donated to the MGFA as a way to help spread awareness and find a cure for this disease. 

 

Astoria Food Pantry & 31st Avenue Open Street

Gold & Honey participates in events that benefit the Astoria Food Pantry each year. The markets are made up of local New York small businesses for each of the weekend events.

 

HEARTS (Helping Enrich the Arts in Port Washington)

HEARTS is an independent, grassroots not-for-profit 501(c)3 community organization whose mission is to add meaningful value to children's lives and our community by supporting, promoting and enriching the arts in Port Washington and its public schools.

Due to the generosity of our community and the amazing creativity of the Port Washington School District teachers and administrators, children of all ages experienced the joy of writing and playing new music, visiting NYC museums and Broadway workshops, joining an a8er school musical theater club, singing in a glee club, meeting successful professional artists, musicians and authors, and more. During the pandemic and in the wake of its aftermath, the arts were a main stay for so many people in our community. Our organization continued its mission to support the many who take pleasure in the arts.

 

St. Judes Children's Hospital

Gold & Honey took part in the 10.10 Shopping Pop Up Festival, which was hosted by the top #5 Ranked fashion app, Fashwire. During this 3 day event, fashion brands came together to support a great cause for St. Jude's. 

 

Nebraska Farm Bureau

Gold & Honey supported a local event to raise funds and awareness for the flooding in Nebraska. 

The NFB is a grassroots farm organization that works for the benefit of all Nebraskan's through a wide variety of educational, service and advocacy focused their mission of helping farm and ranch families prosper and improving their quality of life. 

 

Autism Awareness Action Day

Increase the public's awareness and acceptance of Autism, while improving the quality of life and hope for children. Helping to improve self-esteem & social interaction, increase communication and leadership skills plus teach how to sustain regular lifelong physical activity as a foundation for a healthy, productive and fulfilling life.

 

Magic of Winter Charity Event

Gold & Honey supports a local event to raise money and donations of everyday essential utilities and clothing for victims of human and labor trafficking.

Organized by the Safe Center LI and hosted at the Pop-Up Boutique on Main Street in Port Washington, NY

 

Legacies of War

Gold & Honey hosted and auctioned off jewelry to go towards the foundation. Over 100 people were in attendance.

Legacies of War is the leading U.S.-based educational and advocacy organization working to address the impact of conflict in Laos during the Vietnam War-era, including removal of unexploded ordnance (UXO). Theyraise awareness about the history of the Vietnam War-era bombing of Laos, provide space for healing the wounds of war, and create greater hope for a future of peace.  

 

World ORT

Started in 1880, World ORT is today operational in 37 countries and helps around 300 000 students around the world.Specializedin technology,the missionis to provide communities wherever they are, with the skills and knowledge necessary to cope with the complexities and uncertainties of their environment.

 

Jewelers for Children (Jewelers of America)

JFC goalsare to unite the generous charitable giving efforts of the jewelry industry to support as many children in need as possible.They striveto involve more and more jewelers in our efforts and to promote to the consumer the good work that the jewelry industry is doing through Jewelers for Children.

Charitypartnersinclude: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®, the Make-A-Wish® America, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the National CASA Association.
